A small mod for The Sims 3 that helps pets stay happier and prevents their essential needs from falling to critical levels. Social needs quickly recover to maximum, while other needs continue to change naturally but cannot fall below safe levels. The mod also protects your household against social services taking pets away.
Description
Happy Pets does not disable pets' needs or freeze them at maximum. Pets still need to eat, sleep, play, use the toilet and go about their usual activities.
The mod only intervenes when a need drops too low.
❤️ Social
The Social need recovers to 100% almost immediately.
Your pet will no longer suffer from a lack of attention, even when their owner does not have time to interact with them constantly.
🐾 Other needs
Hunger, Energy, Bladder and additional pet needs still decrease normally as you play.
When a need reaches its minimum threshold of 30% — or 50% for Fun, to avoid negative moodlets — Happy Pets prevents it from falling below that limit.
The mod checks the actual needs of each individual pet, so it supports not only the common needs but also additional needs specific to dogs, cats and other pets.
🏠 Household protection
Happy Pets prevents social services from removing a pet from the active household.
In the current version, this protection applies to the shared social-services mechanism, so children in the active household are also protected against removal.

Installation
- Download
HappyPets.package. - Place it in
Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages. - Delete
scriptCache.packagefrom your The Sims 3 user folder. - Launch the game.
When updating, remove the previous version of Happy Pets before installing the new one.
